Four candidates have been disqualified from the race for the position of General Director of the State Police.

The four disqualified candidates are Sami Rasha, Shemsi Prençi, Ibrahim Disha and Hajrulla Xhivini.

The latter was disqualified after the publication of several images on the social network "Tik Tok" that proved the inappropriate behavior towards the justice institutions in the country.

According to the law, the new director must currently be a functionary of the State Police, in the position and rank of a middle management role.

Current heads of several departments in the state police, Pëllumb Seferi, Idajet Faskaj, Rebani Jaupi and Neritan Nallbati, continue to be in the race./ CNA
