Cocaine is seized at the border point of Muriqani

As a result of the intensification of work and controls at the entrance/exit of the country, with the objectives of preventing and combating border crimes, the safe movement of citizens, as well as the elimination of queues during this festive period, the services of PKK Muriqan, in cooperation with the Section for The Narcotics Investigation of DVP Shkodër, finalized the coded police operation "Pakot".

During the operation, citizen A. Rr., 32 years old, resident of Lushnja, was caught red-handed and arrested.

From the control carried out in the van driven by the 32-year-old, at the entrance to Albania, 3,430 kg of Cocaine, divided into 3 packages, were found. Also, 60 bottles of alcoholic beverages and 1 television were found, which are suspected to be smuggled, since they were not equipped with purchase receipts.

Narcotics, goods, the vehicle of the arrested person and his 2 mobile phones were seized by the Police, as material evidence./ CNA
