Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Tirana, following the work to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of smuggling of goods, based on information obtained through operational means, organized and finalized the police operation of codenamed "Free road".

As a result of this operation, the citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

- EC, 40 years old, resident in Tirana, administrator of a transport line;

- AM, 52 years old, resident in Tirana, administrator of a commercial entity;

- D. Z., 31 vjeç, banues në Tiranë, administrator i një subjekti tregtar;

- Sh. M., 42 vjeç, banues në Tiranë, administrator i një subjekti tregtar;

- Z. B., 32 vjeç, banues në Tiranë, faturino në një linjë transporti;

- E. L., 22 vjeç, banues në Tiranë, punonjës i një poste private.

Gjithashtu, në kuadër të këtij operacioni u proceduan penalisht në gjendje të lirë, shtetasit Xh. Sh. dhe S. M., punonjës të pikës doganore Morinë, Kukës, për veprën penale "Shpërdorimi i detyrës".

Në vijim të veprimeve u shpall në kërkim shtetasi S. B., administrator i një subjekti privat.

Në rrugën "Jordan Misja", në një parking, shërbimet e Policisë kanë konstatuar autobusin e linjës Prishtinë-Tiranë dhe shtetasit A. M., D. Z. dhe Sh. M., të cilët do të merrnin mallrat, të dyshuara të futura kontrabandë në Shqipëri, nga dogana e Morinës.

As material evidence, various suspected smuggled goods (clothing, medical drugs), a bus and three vehicles were seized.
