20 thousand euros and 120 bottles of alcoholic beverages and contraband goods

As a result of the intensification of entry/exit controls, with the aim of guaranteeing the legal circulation of products and services, as well as cracking down on illegalities at the border, the Border Police services of the port of Durrës have found and struck at the entrance of the Republic of Albania, 1 case of attempting to smuggle excise duty products and 1 case of failure to declare money. Specifically, for these cases:

- the citizen EP, 36 years old, was arrested in the act, and the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizen IG, 55 years old, both residents of Shkodër. From the control of the bus owned by the 36-year-old driver, which had a second alternative driver, the citizen IG, 120 bottles of alcoholic beverages and other suspected smuggled products were found and seized as material evidence;

- the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings started in free status for the citizens AR, 50 years old and EH, 35 years old, both residents of Durrës. From the control of the "Nissan" type off-road vehicle driven by the AR citizen and where the 35-year-old was a passenger, in a space adapted under the dashboard, 20,000 euros undeclared in accordance with the laws in force were found and seized as material evidence.
