The elderly man with the initials HM, who was shot by his brother, 77-year-old NM, is headed to the Trauma hospital in Tirana. 

It is learned that his health condition has worsened. 

While the 77-year-old is undergoing surgery at the Lushnja hospital. He has wounds on his arm and leg from the blows of the ax and scythe.

Police Notification: 

At around 08:00, in the village of Qukas i Vjetër, it is suspected that due to conflicts over property motives, citizen HM hit his brother, citizen NM, about 77 years old, with a cutting tool (shoe), while the latter injured citizen HM, with a pistol firearm. 

Both injured were transported to the hospital, where they are under the care of doctors. Currently, the HM citizen is in serious health condition.

The Police Services immediately went to the scene, where they seized as material evidence, the firearm, pistol and the cutting tool (axe), used during the conflict.

The investigative team is working to document the circumstances of the case with legal evidence," the police announcement states. / CNA
