The police have arrested in Skrapar two people with the initials MB, 43 years old and DL, 33 years old, after they cultivated 980 cannabis plants in a wooded area in the village of Novaj.

The police have started investigations for "Misuse of duty", for the citizens Sh. L., head of the village of Novaj and QD, inspector of the forest service of this area.

Skrapar/Controls from the ground and from the air, in villages and in forested areas, following the anti-cannabis police operation coded "Tomorri".

It is finalized as a result of an investigation with proactive methods, the third phase of this operation.

980 narcotic cannabis sativa plants that were found cultivated in a wooded area, in the village of Novaj, are destroyed by burning.

The 2 suspected perpetrators of the cultivation of these narcotic plants were arrested.

The mayor of the village of Novaj and the forest service inspector of this area are being prosecuted for abuse of office.

2 radio receivers that were found in the apartments of the arrested were seized.

?During all phases of the "Tomorri" operation, 2105 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were destroyed, 5 citizens were arrested, 1 citizen was declared wanted and 3 others were processed at large.

The services of the Skrapar Police Station, as a result of an investigation with proactive methods, followed in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Berat, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, for a case of cultivation of narcotic plants, in the village of Novaj, Skrapar, have finalized the third phase of the anti-cannabis police operation coded "Tomorri".

Within this phase, in the territory of the village of Novaj, 980 cannabis sativa plants were found cultivated, which were destroyed by the Police services, through burning.

Citizens MB, 43 years old and DL, 33 years old, both residents of the village of Novaj, Skrapar, were identified and arrested as suspected perpetrators of the cultivation of these plants.

During the inspection of the residences of these citizens, 2 radio transceivers were found and seized as material evidence.

Following the procedural actions for this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", for citizens Sh. L., head of the village of Novaj and QD, inspector of the forest service of this area.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Berat General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
