The police have prosecuted a doctor at the Regional Hospital of Dibra.

Dr, with the initials SL, doctor on duty, did not notify the Police services that the BM citizen, 74 years old, who later died, was presented to the Emergency Department with severe burns.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes at the Bulqiza Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and criminal proceedings began for the SL citizen, resident in Tirana, a doctor at the Dibër Regional Hospital, after on 11.08.2022, this citizen, while performing his duty as a doctor on duty , did not notify the Police services that the BM citizen, 74 years old, resident of Bulqiza, presented herself to the Emergency Department with severe burns, who died as a result of burn injuries on 17.08.2022. From the investigative actions it turned out that the 74-year-old woman accidentally burned herself in her apartment, from the gas cylinder she used for cooking.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office, for further actions./ CNA.al
