According to American media, American investigators in New York suspect that the death of Florind Belliu and his wife Ornela was not part of a suicide pact, but a fight that turned deadly.

According to the neighbors' statements, it is suspected that the Albanian couple argued before they died.

"Someone said there was shouting. I saw a bag on the fire escape, maybe she was trying to leave," said Steve Iurilli, 63 years old.

Porter Harold Johnson, 60, noticed something was wrong with the 35-year-old the night before the tragic event.

Neighbors said the couple lived there with their young sons, who were inside the apartment when the incident happened.

"They were super good kids, two little boys. They were playing with my puppy two days ago. The parents were really nice too. The woman was super nice. The guy was a little reserved, but a nice family." neighbor Giovanni Resto told the Daily News.
