He was defrauding with VAT schemes/ 22-year-old arrested in Durrës

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section arrested and detained the RS citizen, 22 years old, resident of Krujë, who was wanted after the Durrës Court, following the investigations conducted within the framework of the coded operation "Scheme", assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Creating fraudulent schemes related to value added tax".  

Investigations conducted within the framework of this operation identified 7 citizens who declared fictitious financial data of the entities they administered or where they were employed, in order to avoid tax obligations.

The RS citizen and 3 other citizens, administrators of several entities, in collaboration with 3 other citizens, employed in these entities, have defrauded the state of declared income/expenses, with the aim of evading tax obligations. This criminal activity is suspected of having caused the state about 3 million euros in economic damage.    

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durrës, for further action. /CNA
