Lezha/ The 72-year-old man died after being hit by a motorbike

A fatal accident happened today on the "Lezhë-Milot" road axis, where a 72-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle collided with the 40-year-old driver.

The elderly man was transported to the hospital, but despite medical assistance, he died.

The driver of the motorcycle was arrested in the act for the criminal offense "Violation of traffic rules", resulting in death.

Police Notification:

This morning, on the "Lezhë-Milot" road axis, citizen I. Ll., 40 years old, resident of Shkodër, while driving a motorcycle, crashed into citizen Gj. Z., 75 years old, resident in Lezha, pedestrian.

Citizenship Gj. Mr. was transported to the hospital, but despite medical assistance, he died.

At the end of the actions carried out by the investigative group, the driver of the motorcycle, citizen I. Ll., was arrested in the act for the criminal offense "Violation of traffic rules", resulting in death.

The procedural materials will be transferred to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions./ CNA
