During today's hearing, the High Judicial Council partially accepted the High Inspector of Justice's request for disciplinary proceedings against Judge Taulant Tafa, of the Elbasan Judicial District Court, for disciplinary violations committed in the trial of the request for a reduced sentence, for a sentenced to life imprisonment.

The High Judicial Council set the measure of suspension from duty for 3 months with the right to benefit from the minimum salary for the magistrate. The High Inspector of Justice had requested proceedings with the measure "dismissal from office" against judge Taulant Tafa.

Nga analiza ligjore e fakteve të mbledhura gjatë hetimit disiplinor ndaj gjyqtarit Tafa Inspektori i Lartë i Drejtësisë kishte konkluduar në raportin hetimor, se nga ana e magjistratit janë konstatuar veprime/mosveprime të kryera në kundërshtim me ligjin “Për trajtimin e të dënuarve me burgim dhe të paraburgosurve” i ndryshuar, të cilat kanë sjellë si pasojë të drejtpërdrejtë përfitimin e padrejtë të uljes së dënimit në masën 720 ditë për të dënuarin me burgim të përjetshëm Arben Grorit , si dhe cënimin e prestigjit të magjistratit në veçanti dhe cënimin e besimit të publikut te drejtësia.

Sipas hetimit të ILD-së, në dhënien e vendimit, magjistrati nuk i është referuar fakteve në aktet e dosjes, por ka parashtruar në mënyrë të dukshme fakte dhe rrethana të shtrembëruara vetëm për t’iu përshtatur plotësimit të kërkesave formale ligjore.

Në analizën e vendimmarrjes 4 vjeçare të magjistratit (2017-2021), me objekt ulje dënimi, Inspektori i Lartë i Drejtësisë ka konstatuar se ndryshe ka vepruar gjyqtari në dhënien e 155 vendimeve të tjera, ku në 7 kërkesa nga të dënuar me “Burgim të përjetshëm” janë respektuar kriteret formale ligjore.
