Dritan Dajti asks for his freedom again. Through his two lawyers, he addressed another request to the Court of Elbasan, where he requests his release from prison, claiming that he is being held illegally, because he has served the sentence of 25 years of imprisonment.

It seems that Dajti has entered into a game of procedures requesting release from prison, while according to the lawyers there is no execution order of the Prosecutor's Office to enter into force the decision with life imprisonment, which was left in force by the Supreme Court.

The latter upheld the decision given by the former Court of Serious Crimes that sentenced Dajti to life imprisonment as the suspected author of the murder of 4 State Police officers.

But what is claimed by Dajti is the fact that there is no order to execute this decision, while the Supreme Court has left the task to the Prosecution of Elbasan, which covers the territory where Dritan Dajti is serving his sentence.

On the other hand, IEVP Peqin addressed SPAK with a request for an execution order for the High Court's decision against Dajti, but the latter assigned it to the Prosecution of Elbasan. The request will be examined by the judge ready in Elbasan.
