The lawyer of Faruk Ozer, the Turk who was left in prison by the court of Elbasan, described her client as innocent.

In a statement to the media, she stated that the Albanian and Turkish media have lied about the accusations against him, so she emphasized that she will appeal the decision.

According to her, the whole issue is political.

"He will be in prison for the extradition process. We will appeal the decision. It is only about politics. In the Albanian and Turkish media lies are told about the accusations against him. We can say that the Turkish prosecutor's office and the institutions there say that the damage is 20 million dollars and not 2 billion dollars as stated in the media.

He is not the person responsible for the crimes he is accused of. Of the 20 million dollars in damage, half of it has been compensated to the families. And half of the injured families have withdrawn their claims. There are political reasons. He came to Albania as a businessman, he came to invest ", underlined the lawyer./ BA - CNA.al
