They supplied weapons to criminal groups/Two people arrested

Police have arrested two people suspected of supplying weapons to criminal groups.

AH, 19 years old, and JP, 20 years old, were arrested while they were driving a vehicle on the "Qafë Kashar-Rinas" road axis.

The two arrested were found and 4 pistols and 3 cold weapons were seized.

 

Police notification

Tirana/Proactive investigations and police intelligence, with the objective of cracking down on criminal groups.

The police operation codenamed "Silent" is finalized. 4 pistols and 3 cold weapons are seized.

They supplied criminal groups with firearms, which were modified with silencers, 2 citizens were arrested.

As a result of a two-month investigation, with proactive methods, conducted by the Vora Police Commissariat and pursued under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, the "Silent" operation was finalized in cooperation with the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Section and the Special Operational Force.

As part of the operation, citizens AH, 19 years old, and JP, 20 years old, both residents of Vora, were arrested in flagrante delicto, while they were driving a vehicle on the "Qafë Kashar-Rinas" road axis.

They were found with 4 firearms, pistols, which the investigation suspects were to be sold to criminal groups, after being modified with silencers. At the time of the arrest, 1 cutting tool (knife) was also found in the vehicle.

Following the operation, a search was conducted at the apartment of the friend of the arrested, citizen G. Sh., 49 years old. 1 metal glove and 1 rubber baton were found in this environment. For illegal possession of these items, proceedings were initiated against this citizen, for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
