The former senior director of the state police, Shemsi Prençi, says that the agent Jeton Lami arrested as the person who accompanied Ervis Martinaj is just one of the many policemen who have been put in the service of crime.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Prençi said that if Lami speaks and shows what he knows, there will be dismissals in the dome of the state police.

"Dozens of police officers do second jobs, even in the service of crime, and their bosses know this, as they receive their salaries from the bars where drug use is allowed. Even Rama has known for some time now that the police elite is at the service of crime," said Prençi.

According to Prenç, Nano should have removed the police leaders in the districts where criminal groups have been favored.

"It is his duty. If the minister puts pressure on him, he leaves his duty. I did the same thing when I was in a senior management position in the state police", said Prençi.
