The Prosecutor's Office of Gjirokastra takes 9 police officers of the Local Directorate of Border and Migration as defendants.

According to the information provided by CNA, it is learned that criminal proceedings have been registered against these employees for "Misuse of duty" and "Aiding for illegal crossing of the border".

Sources close to this institution indicate that these police officers have misused their duty, allowing the passage of illegal immigrants, who were first caught by the police and then released to continue their movement.

The prosecution, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency, have made it possible, through a several-month investigation, to provide evidence and footage that implicates police officers in this illegality.

Police officers are citizens:

BT (assistant to the general director of border and migration)

FM (former head of the migration sector in Gjirokastra)

RR (former head of the investigation and territory control sector)

EK (former migration specialist)

BK (former investigation specialist)

DS (service body in the migration sector)

D.Ç (service body in the investigation sector)

EK (service body in the investigation sector)

RB (service body in the investigation sector).

All police officers belong to the local border and migration directorate of Gjirokastra. It is learned that they were currently at work, while earlier they were suspended from duty./ CNA
