The first details have come out about the explosion registered around 02:30, in Pogradec.

It is suspected that the explosive substance was thrown near the apartment of the UK citizen, a person with significant criminal records, who has recently benefited from friendship.

Aki has been convicted several times for various criminal offences:

In June 2008, he was sentenced for "Deliberate serious injury, carried out in collaboration" and "Weapons without a permit".

He also served another sentence in April 2011 for "intentional serious injury".

In February 2018, he was convicted of "intimidation" and "disruption of public peace".

In February 2019, he was convicted for "opposing a police officer", as well as "disturbing public order and peace".
