The 52-year-old man with the initials SC is arrested in Italy for the purpose of extradition to our country, after the Gjirokastër Court has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" for "Creation of fraudulent schemes related to value added tax", carried out in collaboration, "Providing false information", "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms", carried out in collaboration and "Concealment of income".

In the same way, Sebastian Varaku alias Ervin Varaku, 38 years old, who was declared an international wanted by the Interpol Directorate, was arrested in Italy, after the Durrës Judicial District Court sentenced him to 6 years and 8 days of imprisonment.

Meanwhile, Elmir Dashi, 40 years old, has been extradited from Italy to our country, since in 2018, the Vlora Court of Appeal sentenced him to 4 years in prison, for committing the criminal offense of "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms".

The operations with the counterparts continue, for the capture of the citizens wanted internationally.

Thanks to the exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, 2 police operations coded "Reimbursement" and "Subsidiary" are finalized in Italy.

Also, thanks to the cooperation, a citizen sentenced to 4 years in prison was extradited from Italy to our country.

-During the "Refund" operation, an Italian citizen wanted for creating fictitious companies, in order to benefit from the refund, was located and handcuffed.

-During the "Branch" operation, the Italian Police, thanks to the exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, located and arrested a citizen convicted of stealing a sum of money from a bank branch.

Italian citizen SC, 52 years old, resident in Italy, was arrested with the intention of extradition to our country. This citizen was declared an international wanted by the Interpol Directorate, after the Court of First Instance of Gjirokastër, in 2023, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Creation of fraudulent schemes related to the tax on the value of added", carried out in collaboration, "Providing false information", "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms", carried out in collaboration and "Concealment of income".
Citizens SC, AD and SC, in collaboration with Albanian citizens IQ and EB, had created a system of fictitious companies for the circulation of monetary amounts.

- Thanks to the cooperation and exchange of information, the Italian Police located and put in handcuffs for the purpose of extradition to our country, the citizen Sebastian Varaku alias Ervin Varaku, 38 years old, resident of Shijak. This citizen was declared internationally wanted by the Interpol Directorate, after the Durrës Judicial District Court sentenced him to 6 years and 8 days of imprisonment. According to the decision of the Durrës Court of Appeal, this citizen has 1 year and 7 days of imprisonment left to serve, for the criminal offense "Theft of banks and savings banks", committed in cooperation.
In 2015, in Shijak, Durrës, a masked and armed citizen entered the branch of a second level bank and took a quantity of money. The investigation showed that the author of this criminal offense was the citizen Sebastian (Ervin) Varaku.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, continues the procedures for the extradition of these 2 citizens to our country.

Also, thanks to the cooperation, the citizen Elmir Dashi, 40 years old, was extradited from Italy to our country, since in 2018, the Vlora Court of Appeal sentenced him to 4 years in prison, for committing the criminal offense of "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms ”, carried out collaboration./ CNA
