The police arrested the 45-year-old Czech citizen with the initials MB, at the border point of Morina, for arms trafficking.

During the physical check and the control of the luxury vehicle, the police seized: 1 firearm, a pistol filled with cartridges, combat ammunition for this type of weapon and other weapons, 4 knives, 2 knives, 1 belt ax and 2 canisters with harmful substances.

Police Notification:

Controls for the prevention and combating of border crimes have been intensified.
The Border Police is finalizing the coded police operation "Magnum", for cracking down on a case of an attempt to smuggle weapons into Albania.
1 pistol firearm with cartridges in it, combat ammunition, 7 cold weapons, 2 canisters with harmful substances (irritant spray) and a "Land Rover" type vehicle were seized.
The 45-year-old (Czech citizen), the driver of the vehicle where the weapons were found, was arrested.
Morin Border Police Services, following the work to combat illegalities on the border, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, for a case of an attempt to traffic weapons in Albania, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Magnum".
During the operation, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, the Border Police services have stopped for control the Czech citizen of the UK, who was driving a "Land Rover" type vehicle.

At the end of the actions, the crime investigation specialists of DVKM Kukas arrested the driver of the vehicle, a UK citizen, 45 years old, resident in the Czech Republic, in the act. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Kukës, for further actions./ CNA
