Attack in Ferizaj/ 59-year-old man stabs 4 passers-by, two of them minors

A serious event was recorded this afternoon in Ferizaj, Kosovo.

The 59-year-old with the initials ES shot four passers-by with a knife on "Enver Topalli", "Halim Spahija" and "Ejup Statovci" streets.

Two bystanders were girls under the age of 18 and the other two were boys aged 29-32.

Two of the injured have been sent for treatment to KKUK, in Prishtina, while two others are receiving care in Ferizaj.

The author was arrested and escorted to the police station under strict security measures.

"Multiple police teams, including the Rapid Response Unit, have started searching for the suspect. After an intensive search, around 4:40 p.m. they managed to arrest the suspect ES (M/K) aged about 59, who under measures of security was accompanied to the police station in Ferizaj. Regional investigators and crime technicians are examining the places of the incident, while a sharp tool (knife) was also found, which is suspected to have been used in the cases mentioned above", said the police spokesperson for the Ferizaj region, Kanun Veseli./ CNA
