The Black Sea wheat agreement between Ukraine and Russia is extended

Turkey also hopes that the agreement between Kiev and Moscow on wheat exports will be able to continue for another 120 days, although time is running out.

This agreement is considered key to preventing the global food crisis.

The current deal expires at midnight on Saturday, Istanbul local time.

"The deadline is approaching," Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Friday.

"We are in contact with Ukraine and Russia for the continuation of the agreement, according to the original deadlines."
