Two Russian pilots are killed after their plane crashes into a residential

A Russian military jet crashed into a residential building in the Siberian city of Irkutsk on October 23, killing both pilots, authorities said.

"There are no victims among the population," said the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Officials said the Sukhoi SU-30 fighter jet crashed while conducting a training flight.

The incident comes days after another Russian fighter jet crashed near a residential building in the Azov Sea city of Yevsk, killing 15 people and injuring 19 others.

The governor of Irkutsk, Igor Kobzev, said the plane crashed into a two-story house, causing a fire. Kobzev confirmed that there are no victims among the residents of this city./REL
