"Citizens in the premises should be offered water from the tap". It might sound strange, but this is the decision of the Kosovo government.

Customers also welcome such a decision, but there are also those who do not see it as necessary.

"Shot decision. Although it may seem like a small decision to some, it has a direct impact on the citizen's pocket", they say.

Even gastronomes call it a right decision.

"It was not something new for us as we have always served water. The water is drinkable, we have always served it. It is very simple, the expenses are minimal", according to the manager of a bar, Fanol Duli.

However, some of them admit that the tap water service causes few problems in the service.

"The way of service is a problem, it is a bit slower", says Mentor Berisha, restaurant manager.

Others say that they have served tap water even when the state has failed to provide it to citizens.

"There have been cases of water reduction, we went and bought large bottles of water, we served ourselves with our services", emphasized Shpat Hashani, the local owner.

The decision sounds a bit strange and even funny both for the citizens and for some of the opposition representatives.

According to them, before such decisions, the government will have to provide drinking water 24 hours a day for all citizens./Euronews
