In a press conference, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was asked about Ukraine's NATO membership aspirations.

Stoltenberg responded by saying that NATO's door remains open and invitations have also been sent to North Macedonia, Finland and Sweden.

“In Ukraine, the main focus now is on providing the urgently needed support to help them protect themselves and repair the destroyed infrastructure. We are meeting more often, having more substantive discussions and expanding our political partnership," Stoltenberg said.

When asked when peace will be reached in Ukraine, Stoltenberg said that most wars end at the negotiation table, and that the war in Ukraine will probably end like that.

"What we know is that most wars end at the negotiating table, most likely this will end at the negotiating table. It may sound like a paradox, but the reality is that the best way to achieve a sustainable peace in Ukraine is to provide military support," Stoltenberg said at the press conference./ CNA.al
