The tragedy in Texas / Chief of Firefighters shows the cause of death of 46 people

A human tragedy has been recorded in Texas, USA, where 46 people suspected of being illegal immigrants were found dead in a truck.

There was no water or air conditioning on the truck where the 46 migrants died, fire chief Charles Hood confirms.

He says while the truck was a refrigerated trailer, there were no refrigeration units on board. San Antonio, where the truck was found, was recently hit by a heat wave, with temperatures reaching around 39 degrees.

Immediately, the 16 survivors were taken to hospital within about an hour of being found, he says.

"We should not open a truck and see bundles of troops there. "No one comes to work imagining this," said Chief Charles Hood of the San Antonio Fire Department. /CNA.al
