The White House is working to hold full briefings this week for members of the Senate and House of Representatives on the airstrikes on Iran, an official told CNN.
These briefings will be the broadest opportunity yet for lawmakers to get information on the operations, following previous sessions with the bipartisan group of leaders, known as the "Gang of Eight," who received some details in advance.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced on the X network that before the attacks, Secretary of State Marco Rubio personally contacted gang members to inform them of the actions, managing to inform seven of the eight members.
This series of meetings is expected to provide a more complete picture for Congress on the reasons and effects of the airstrikes on Iran, as the administration aims to increase transparency to lawmakers./ CNA
