Drone attacks Kuwait International Airport

A drone has targeted Kuwait International Airport, causing minor injuries and limited material damage to one of the terminals, Kuwait's Public Authority for Civil Aviation announced.

According to the state news agency Kuna, the authority's spokesman, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, stated that immediately after the incident, emergency procedures were implemented and relevant forces intervened to secure the area.

He stressed that the situation is under control and that the safety of passengers and employees remains the top priority. Authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the source and circumstances of the attack.

There has been no official confirmation yet of where the drone came from. The incident comes at a time of high tensions in the region, as Iran has launched attacks on targets in the Middle East in response to previous joint strikes by the US and Israel.

Kuwaiti authorities have not announced any major flight disruptions, while the situation at the airport is reported to have stabilized.
