Numri i të vdekurve nga tërmetet e javës së kaluar që tronditën Turqinë dhe Sirinë, ka arritur në 41,000.
Sipas autoriteteve turke janë regjistruar 35,418 viktima, ndërkohë që të plagosur kanë mbetur mbi 105 mijë persona, prej tyre 13, 200 janë në spitale duke marrë trajtim shëndetësor.
Në Siri sipas Organizatës së Kombeve të Bashkuara dhe qeverisë siriane raportohet për më shumë së 5,800 viktima.
