The Executive Director of the Kosovo Institute for Justice, Ehat Miftaraj, has revealed that officials from the government cabinet of Prime Minister Albin Kurti are under investigation by justice.

During an interview, Miftaraj said that out of the 7 officials under investigation by the justice bodies, 4 of them are ministers.

When asked who the ministers are under the scrutiny of the justice bodies, Miftaraj stated: Minister of Local Government, Elbert Krasniqi; the minister of foreign affairs, Donika Gërvalla; Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari; the deputy minister of infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi and two other deputy ministers.

"It is suspected that criminal offenses have been committed since the time of the Kurti 2 government from 2021. I can say that perhaps the most serious is at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, because it awarded a tender for 1 million euros, which means an agreement with a non-governmental organization in Kosovo to implement the project.

Surprisingly, the organization is led by the deputy minister who was the director of the NGO at that time. We have the case of Hekuran Murat, who at the time of the teachers' strikes was reluctant to execute the teachers' salaries, as a kind of revenge against them, which the Task Force is investigating as a criminal offense of misuse of official duties", said Miftaraj./ CNA.al
