The spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu, has said that they are waiting for the assessment of the situation in the north by the security bodies "for the next steps" for the elections in the north.

He wrote on Facebook that the institutions of Kosovo have shown their willingness to provide the necessary conditions for the smooth running of the elections.

"Obstructing or preventing them [elections] is an attack on democracy".

"Criminal gangs may not participate in the elections, but they cannot dictate the holding or not of democratic elections. Acts of violence and criminal actions must be condemned unanimously," he wrote.
