The Kosovo Security Council convenes/ Additional security measures are approved

The Government of Kosovo has announced the meeting of the Security Council after the explosion in the irrigation canal of Ibër-Lepenci in the village of Varragë, where additional measures were approved to strengthen security around critical facilities and services such as bridges, antennas, lakes, canals and substations.

For this purpose, the government has activated the Kosovo Police and the Security Force on the ground.

The government announced that inter-institutional and international cooperation has been intensified to prevent similar attacks in the future.

"This meeting was called after the third attack in the last 72 hours, this time targeting the country's critical infrastructure, the water supply system and electricity generation. The first indications suggest that this next attack was orchestrated by the Serbian state , which has the capacity for such a criminal and terrorist attack. Elements of the terrorist organizations "Mbrotja Civile" and "Northern Brigade" and the chief criminal Millan Radoici under the direction of the President and the Government of Serbia plan and practice in Serbia for such professional attacks.

The probable connection with the attacks of the aggressive Russia in Ukraine on energy capacities during this week, leaving over a million Ukrainian households without electricity right on the eve of winter, was also highlighted.
