Germany delivers 18 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

Ukraine's armed forces have received 18 modern Leopard 2A6 main battle tanks from Germany, Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed Monday during a media conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in Rotterdam.

"We delivered, just as announced," Scholz said.

For security reasons, German government institutions had not made public anything about the transport of the tanks
