Stoltenberg: It is up to Ukraine to set the terms of negotiations with Russia
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said today tha...

CIA Director Bill Burns meets in Ankara, Turkey with his Russian counterpart Sergey Naryshkin to highlight the consequences of Russia's use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
According to a National Security Council official at the White House, the meeting between the director of the CIA and the director of the Russian intelligence agency SVR was not to discuss decisions about the war in Ukraine. The CIA director is also expected to raise the case of two Americans imprisoned in Russia, American basketball star Brittney Griner and civilian contractor Paul Whelan. Mr. Biden's administration had previously proposed the possibility of a prisoner exchange between Moscow and Washington. According to the US official, the Ukrainians were notified of the meeting before Mr. Burns traveled to Turkey.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he could neither confirm nor deny the US-Russia talks in Turkey. Two Turkish officials said they were not aware of the meeting between the delegations of the United States and Russia./ VOA
