Low development in the agricultural sector/ Sejko: Support scheme of 250 million

A roundtable discussion on financing in agriculture is being held today at the Bank of Albania.

Present, the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, said that a new financial support scheme for agriculture and rural entrepreneurship is ready.

Through a banking instrument with a financing line of 250 million euros, investments in greenhouses, agro-processing, fishing, aquaculture, agrotourism, and technological innovation in the service of rural development will be supported.

"250 million euros will be given to this sector."

The economy from about 10 billion in 2014 to 25 billion in 2025.

Inflation, loans, public health debt have improved significantly.

Ongoing reforms have stimulated consumption and investment.

The bank has become a reliable partner for citizens and businesses.

Structural reform has been effective for the financial market.

The cost of lending has decreased.

The agricultural sector has the lowest development.

The difference of this sector is reflected in the farmers, the market, and the economic system.

 Studies have shown that agricultural lending has an effect twice as great as any other field.

The program comes as a business and program requirement of the National Bank.

This program offers significant reductions in the credit offered by banks to these businesses.

And it serves the economy and businesses.
