Onion production remains unsold in Korça/Hundreds of quintals remain in stock

Even though the new onion planting season is coming for Maliq farmers, they still have significant unsold quantities.

In some villages, a significant portion of the onions were found in canals while the rest were found in warehouses and plots. 

Farmers expressed that they are not sure whether they should plant onions again due to the recurring situation and the damage it has caused to their budget.

Even though the price of onions has been low, demand from traders has been so low that they have been forced to throw away part of their production.

In the villages of Leminot and Çaushli, only a few farmers managed to sell their onion production, while others still have hundreds of quintals of onions in stock.

This problem has also affected farmers in Devoll, who have abandoned planting, and the same situation risks occurring in Maliq.
