The economic expert, Fatos Çoçoli, says that the economic growth for our country in 2023 is expected to be 2.4%, according to forecasts from the IMF.

For Euronews Albania, Çoçoli said that the increase is expected to be small, due to the fact that inflation will continue to be high.

According to him, if in the first 6 months we will have a good water period, the economic growth can go up to 2.6%.

"It is a small increase, the government thinks it will be a little more rosy, 2.4%. Why does this happen? Because we will continue to have very high inflation. Inflation erodes economic growth, high prices erode the value of money in your pocket. Despite the fact that you may have an indexation of your salary or pension with the average level of inflation.
