With four days left until the deadline for online submission of financial statements to the National Business Center (NBC), entities are once again encountering difficulties.
Businesses reported to Monitor that they were again unable to upload their statements online on Monday morning. The same situation was repeated on July 25 for a few hours and then the situation normalized.
The deadline for submitting financial statements is July 31 (Thursday) and in case of failure to submit on time, entities will be charged a fine of 60 thousand lek.
There are over 20,000 businesses that are required to submit their 2024 balance sheets.
The Alliance of Freelance Professionals Association reacts: Unnecessary pressure is being created for businesses
The Alliance of Free Professionals (APL) has reacted to the situation.
In a statement to Monitor, the Association said that "The platform for filing financial statements, legal reports and audits in Albania, with a submission deadline of July 31, is integrated with the central e-Albania system and aims to bring ease and transparency to the financial reporting process.
However, during this period it has been noted that high load and occasional technical outages have made the filing process more difficult, causing delays and uncertainty for many users.
These obstacles are creating unnecessary pressure on businesses, accountants and auditors, who face the risk of penalties for delays beyond their control.
Furthermore, the situation has also caused misunderstandings between professionals and clients, who are often not fully informed about the nature of the problems and the respective responsibilities.
To avoid unnecessary consequences and to ensure quality reporting in accordance with the law, it would be reasonable to consider an extension of the submission deadline until the platform is operating stably and at full capacity.
"For our part, we are ready to provide full support and cooperation with the e-Albania system and the relevant institutions. Our approach is constructive, aiming to help find a practical, fair and long-term solution, for the benefit of all users of the platform and the system itself."
Obligation to submit balance sheets
Earlier, the Central Bank of Kosovo reminded all commercial entities of the importance of timely filing of financial statements for 2024.
According to the notice, submission within the legal deadline is mandatory and avoids administrative measures.
The deadline is July 31, 2025.
The application is only made electronically through the e-Albania portal.
The documentation includes (when their retention is mandatory):
* Annual financial statements
* Activity progress report
* Audit report./ Monitor Magazine
