Photo-104 years from the Congress of Durrës/ The decisions we made

As today, December 26, 1918, the second day of work of the Congress of Durrës took place.

This Congress, which was held on December 25-27, aimed to ensure the territorial integrity and continuity of the Albanian state, after the end of the First World War.

More than 50 delegates participated in this Congress.

It was decided to create a provisional government with 14 members. The Congress also decided to form an Eldership (Senate), as an advisory body to the government.

The delegates spoke for preserving the independence and territorial integrity of the Albanian state, for revising the borders of 1913 and for submitting these demands to the Peace Conference.
