The Judicial Appointments Council forwarded to the Supreme Court on 30.12.2022 the approved report and the list with accompanying documentation of the candidates who competed for the vacant seat of the Constitutional Court, announced by the Supreme Court on 16.01.2017 and re-announced on 19.04.2019, 03.06.2021, 31.01.2022, as well as on 28.10.2022.

The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mr. Sokol Sadushi, in implementation of the legal obligations arising from point 3 of article 7/ç of law no. 8577, dated 10.02.2000 "On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania" (amended), Article 4 of the Regulation of the Special Meeting of Supreme Court judges for the election of the member of the Constitutional Court, as well as Article 26, point 2 of the law no. 98/2018 "On the organization of judicial power in the Republic of Albania", decided to call the Special Meeting of Supreme Court judges, to elect the member of the Constitutional Court, on Monday, 16.01.2023, at 09.30. /CNA.al
