A 75-year-old woman has caused outrage in Corfu after she shot and killed a dog before throwing it into a river.

The 75-year-old woman was arrested yesterday in a spontaneous procedure and a criminal complaint was filed against her for fatally injuring animals and possession of weapons without a permit, reports Protothema.

According to the complaint filed against her, the woman, after killing the dog with the weapon she possessed illegally, threw it into a river in the area of ??South Corfu.

A preliminary investigation into the case was carried out by the Achilleion Police Directorate, while an administrative fine of -30,000- euros was also confirmed.

The arrested woman will be sent to the Criminal Prosecution of Corfu./ CNA
