Interior Minister Taulant Balla has reacted after an incident that happened at dawn today, where a police officer was also involved.

He announced that he has left his post.

This individual cannot stay in the State Police any longer, says Balla.

The Minister of the Interior in a post on social networks says that there will be a self-cleaning of the State Police and that the full return of citizens' trust in the State Police is his main effort.

Self-purification of the State Police will be carried out to the end and no case of violation of the law and ethical norms will be tolerated. The complete restoration of citizens' trust in the State Police is my main effort as Minister of the Interior and of the leaders of the State Police, with the commitment to offer citizens the appropriate level of behavior, professionalism and public security service. It must also be clear who disobeys the lawful order/call of the police, or even more seriously opposes it with force, dares to insult, aggress, threaten, hit or even endanger his life in the exercise of duty or because of duty, it must be clear that tolerance will be ZERO.
