"Veliaj hasn't signed himself for a long time", Fundo predicts

Journalist Elvi Fundo says that for a long time, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, did not sign himself, but this task was taken over by Arbjan Mazniku, now Minister of State for Local Government.

In a live broadcast on the "Opinion" show on TV Klan, Fundo says that perhaps after Veliaj, Minister Mazniku will be next in line to be arrested, adding that the investigative file for the head of the Tirana Municipality is a big "Gërdec".

Elvi Fundo:  Today we have, according to SPAK, about 1 million dollars in purchases, about another 1 million dollars blocked by Ajola in the bank and a villa in Qerret that is claimed to be worth about 500 thousand dollars. Not to mention the amount of about 115 thousand euros that is divided into 95 thousand euros, mostly in 500-dollar packages, and 14 thousand dollars and about 6 million and a half lekë. Also, if we look at the documents where it is said that Veliaj has carried out concrete actions and the issue is not simply about building permits.


For a long time, Veliaj did not sign himself, but a minister of Rama, Arbjan Mazniku, who is under investigation and SPAK has seized many files and is also investigating Mazniku's signatures. Perhaps after Veliaj, Rama's next minister may also have his turn there with his colleagues. The investigations are in-depth. The file is a big mess. To my knowledge, I have seen a great willingness to greet the prosecutors. This is a strong and very complicated investigation. We are talking about a purchase of 1 million dollars and we have a villa in the middle of Blloku that the "Harabel" company has that is rent-free.
