The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was asked on Thursday in SPAK about the files under investigation by the Special Prosecutor's Office, as well as about the property investigation being carried out against him and his family members.

Meanwhile, this Friday SPAK came out with an official reaction, announcing that it had brought 4 accusations against the mayor.

The 4 charges against Veliaj are "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" and "Refusal for declaration, non-declaration, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public officials, or of any other person that has a legal obligation to declare".
