The report of the DIA (Directorate of Anti-Mafia Investigation) has sounded the alarm about the involvement of Albanians and Macedonians in drug trafficking in Italy.

The report refers to the second half of 2021.

According to the same, that the metropolitan area due to its geographical position is exposed to the risk of criminal infiltration by criminal organizations in particular from Puglia and Campania, especially in the industrial and commercial sector.

“Në këto territore, falë edhe lidhjeve me vendet e Ballkanit, ka një prezencë të konsiderueshme të komuniteteve të huaja, veçanërisht shqiptarëve dhe maqedonasve, të përfshirë shpesh në trafik droge, si dhe në shfrytëzim prostitucioni. Për më tepër, gjetjet hetimore në të gjithë zonën metropolitane nxjerrin në pah praninë e grupeve të tjera etnike rome që kontribuojnë në vepra të paligjshme si tregtia e drogës, fajdeja, bixhozi, mashtrimet, zhvatja dhe pastrimi i parave si dhe në shfrytëzimin e prostitucionit”, thuhet në raport.
