Salmonella meat scandal/Jorgaqi: The quantity has been distributed in 10 regions

The Director of Risk Management at the National Agency for National Education, Martin Jorgaqi, shared this Friday afternoon some of the details of the process of controls carried out in the country, following the publication of the scandal of placing chicken meat containing salmonella on the market.

The representative of the AKU, in a television appearance, stated that the amount of this meat has been distributed to 10 regions of the country.

According to Jorgaq, so far all business operators have been called, with the aim of returning this harmful product to consumers.

Jorgaqi said that this is the third day of field control, which according to him is being carried out in the most remote regions of Albania.

"Business operators have been called one by one to return the product and consumers. Today is the third day that we have been on the ground and we have reached the most remote regions. According to information, it has been distributed to 10 regions of the country, with Tirana having the largest quantity because the number of business operators is 10 times higher," said Jorgaqi.

Among other things, Jorgaqi justified himself by saying that it is not a concession of the AKU structures, but one of the contaminating types of meat.

"It is not a concession of our structures, salmonella is the no. 2 pollutant of contaminated products," said Jorgaqi./CNA
