Fire situation in 24 hours/ Ministry of Defense: 29 fires reported, 10 still

During the last 24 hours, 29 fire outbreaks have been reported, 10 of which are still active and 4 under monitoring.
The most problematic active outbreaks have been registered in these areas, where forces on the ground continue to work to isolate and control the flames:
1. In the place called Liqeni i Luleve, Parku, Kombëtar Lura, where the fire is developing in three outbreaks, about 100 forces from all operational structures have been engaged, to which 25 firefighting and municipal forces have been added today.
2. 2. In the village of Zall-Gjoçaj, the municipality of Mat continues to extinguish the fire with about 60 local forces and from the Armed Forces, and 9 missions have been carried out by the Croatian Canadair aircraft.
3. In the place called “Maja e Paliskas”, above the village of Dukat, the intervention of two Air Force helicopters brought improvement in the situation. But today, work is being done to finally extinguish the fire.
4. Work continues on the fire that broke out on the mountain heights above the village of Kalasë, Delvinë municipality, where four firefighting vehicles and about 70 forces from operational structures have been deployed on the ground and 2 Cougar helicopters of the Air Force have operated.
5. Work also continues in the village of Ploç in Novosela, where two other fires are active.
6. After the intervention of operational forces, the fire on the Kardhiq-Delvinë road axis, in Gjirokastër is developing at low intensity.
7. Emergency forces, assisted by 3 aircraft and 1 helicopter from the Greek state, were engaged in extinguishing the fire in the village of Kakavijë, Dropull municipality.
8. In the Shmil area, Elbasan, work continues to extinguish the fire with the engagement of about 90 forces from operational structures.
9. In the Shkopet area, in the Kurbin municipality, the fire continues to burn, which has also spread to the territory of the Mirditë municipality. There has been a high level of commitment from the forces, as well as 2 Hungarian helicopters, divided into 3 missions, significantly reducing the intensity of the fire. Currently, the homes are out of danger. Today, the work to extinguish the fire will continue, again with the intervention of two Hungarian helicopters.
10. In the village of Dishnicë, Korçë, the fire continues, where about 70 forces of the operational structures are working.
11. In the village of Muzhak, Berat district, the fire that broke out in a mountainous terrain makes the intervention difficult, but the work continues with two firefighting vehicles.

Forces engaged in firefighting operations:
• 52 firefighting vehicles
• 680 operational forces
• 215 personnel from the Armed Forces and 2 helicopters from the Air Force as well as 1 Canadair aircraft from the Croatian state
• 2 Hungarian helicopters, engaged through the European Civil Protection Mechanism
During today's day, the following are engaged:
• 140 personnel from the Armed Forces
• 2 helicopters from the Air Force
• 2 Hungarian helicopters, in cooperation with the EU

According to IGJEO, no precipitation is expected today in the entire territory. As for fires, a “HIGH” risk level is expected today in all regions and “VERY HIGH” in the Korça region.
Temperatures are expected to reach up to 42 degrees Celsius in low-lying areas.
Authorities call on citizens to exercise maximum caution, avoid any action that could cause a fire and immediately report any suspicious fire to the relevant structures. Citizens' cooperation remains vital in this situation.
