The situation from the rains in the Korça region has improved / Some

The rainfall situation in the Korça region appears calm and more normalized.

The Korça Prefecture has distributed an update on the situation to all municipalities in the region.

There are still power outages in some villages.

Korca Municipality

Chiflig Village:

Water has been reported in the yards of 3 houses in the village of Çiflig, only livestock sheds have been affected. Field teams and the unit administrator are on the ground and work is continuing to clean the canals and remove the collected water.

 

Vincan village:

The road to the village of Vinçan had a landslide. The Administrator of the Administrative Unit, together with the Municipality Services Enterprise, intervened and the debris was cleared. The road is open without problems.

 

Municipality of Maliq

In the mining area in the village of Qenckë, as a result of soil erosion, there was the presence of inert materials on the road, which were cleaned by the contractor. The road is open and vehicle traffic continues normally.

 

The Center-East Regional Directorate (CARD) reports that the situation on the main road axes has normalized. 

 

The old Korça–Ersekë (Qarri) axis

Landslides have been detected, the contractor is on site with the relevant equipment to clear the road.

 

OSHEE teams are working to fix the defects and the current situation is;

 

Korça region: Vithkuq feeder (near Rehova) without power - Protopapë, Peshtan, Mazrekë, Pulahë areas.

208 subscribers without power.

Bilisht: Feeder 8 (n/st Bilisht) without power.

1444 subscribers without power.

Feeder 1 without power – Qinam, Skorovodë, Kreshovë: 60 subscribers.

Feeder 6 without power – Panarit, Ballabanovë, Treskë, Grabockë: 50 subscribers.

Maliq and Pogradec: No problems reported.

Total subscribers without power: 1,762

 

Irrigation and Drainage Directorate:

Despite the intensity of the rainfall, the situation on the Devoll and Dunavec rivers appears to be without problems. There is only a water mark on agricultural land (part of the pit).

Local structures and emergency teams continue monitoring and interventions in all problematic areas. Up to this moment, no other situations that pose a risk to citizens or homes have been reported.
