On Thursday, the hearing in the Appeal for the request for the removal of the sequestration of the assets of Jamarbë Malltez, the son-in-law of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, was postponed.
The session was postponed to Friday, November 24, at 12:00, because the other judge, Emiliana Muca, is considering the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK), for the dismissal of the judge, Ilirjana Olldashi.
Jamarbër Malltezi, through his lawyers, addressed the Special Court of Appeal a few weeks ago with a request for the removal of the sequestration of his assets. 25 assets have been seized from Malltez, including apartments, a villa, 6 bank accounts and company shares.
He is currently under "house arrest", as he is accused of passive corruption for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex./ CNA
