USA, investigative course for Judicial Police officers

20 Judicial Police officers from 12 judicial districts across Albania have become part of the US Criminal Investigation Course Level 1 program.

This was announced by the American embassy through a statement published on social networks.

The Embassy states the Level One Course is a project designed to develop a range of investigative skills in the most commonly reported crimes.

The embassy notes that this course is the first in a series of such criminal investigation courses planned for 2024.

"The International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) of the US Department of Justice in Tirana joined the Albanian State Police and Security Academy in graduating the first batch of the Level 1 Criminal Investigation Course on the morning of today. The graduates include 20 Judicial Police officers from 12 judicial districts throughout Albania. The Level One course is a project designed to develop a range of investigative skills based on standards approved by the Attorney General's Office for Judicial Police Officers engaged in the investigation of the most frequently reported crimes. This is the first in a series of such criminal investigation courses planned for 2024, as part of an important program to certify several hundred Judicial Police officers. Since 2005, ICITAP has had a stable partnership with the Security Academy, contributing to the training and professional development of the State Police", the statement underlined./ CNA
