The Ethics Secretariat expels 6 opposition MPs for 30 days, drawing attention to

The Ethics Secretariat has decided to expel from the Assembly for 30 days the DP MPs Belind Këlliçi, Fidel Kreka, Flamur Noka, Klevis Balliu, Elda Hoti and Albana Vokshi. The other MPs have been punished with a warning.

"It was an abnormal session with violent actions. Today we gathered to give the appropriate measures. The Secretariat decided for 6 deputies to be expelled for 30 working days, when the parliamentary session begins."

They committed violent acts during the session of December 18, 2025, lighting flares and throwing illegal objects at the Speaker of the Assembly.

For all other MPs, for whom it was proposed to take measures for 30-day and 10-day expulsion, the secretariat decided that this time they would suffice with drawing attention.

The Secretariat is composed of 5 members, 3 from the majority and 2 from the opposition, it makes decisions based on facts and evidence, and is responsible for drawing attention to other MPs.

I don't think that violence in the session is a solution, especially since the code of ethics must be respected, even with the security guards who were put in difficulty while performing their duties.
